7 Steps Towards Happiness.

The pursuit of happiness is probably as old as humanity, a constant exploration of what happiness means and how it affects us all. While our experience of happiness is undoubtedly as unique as us, there are, it turns out, a number of steps we can take to improve our underlying sense of happiness and well-being. And by improving our underlying state, this can increase our chance of success in all aspects of our lives. Just imagine what that's like!

The 7 Steps

Definitions Understanding the definition of happiness and how, rather than pursuing happiness, there may be a better route to being happy.
Attitude Learning what actions will help shift our overall attitude which in turn triggers greater happiness (it's no good trying to shift your attitude as it rarely works).
Resilience If we learn how to build resilience, which we can do, we can become happier, because resilient people tend to be happier, and happy people tend to be more resilient.
Spirituality and Renewal Learning to create "me time" in which we recharge our batteries and lose ourselves in something which we enjoy.
Nature Learning how our interaction with nature can increase our happiness.
People Building better networks with greater contact with others can improve our happiness.
Goals and Plans Improving our understanding of the importance of goals and plans which give us direction and purpose.

Costs

A first full session, of up to 2 hours, costs £50. Each subsequent session, of up to 1 hour, costs £40. In most cases, the initial work can be done in three sessions. Once the initial work is done, I offer three further sessions of up to 30 minutes in the following three months at no extra cost. These shorter sessions are to check on progress, offer any additional support, and revisit any of the techniques, if needed.
